AutoModX Guide

Performs automated simulation, installation and reverse updating of phpBB3 ModX packages

AutoModX performs an automated installation of a ModX installation package.
The installer checks for dependent Mods before installation.

Corrects paths according to the phpBB3 installation path

Requirements & download

Libraries

AutoModX 1.0 Library (424Kb, 121Kb gzipped/compressed)

phpBB3 (7.49Mb, 2.17Mb gzipped/compressed)

AutoModX requires PHP version 5 or later.

AutoModX requires a running version of phpBB's phpBB3 forum software to be installed on your server to operate.
Note: AutoModX is a self contained module and is not physically installed into phpBB3.

Remarks & Known issues

AutoModX is not supported or certified by phpBB.
AutoModX may not operate correctly if previous mods installed on your board conflict with the new mod you are installing. For this reason please ensure you have performed a Full Backup of your board before proceeding.
After using AutoModX you must purge your cache. Note: You still need to perform any DIY instructions after running AutomodX.
